Lamination service: serving the growing market for composite media
To offer a full service covering the whole sector, we’re offering our customers the opportunity to have their own media laminated on Gessner’s specialised lamination line. The line is suitable for laminating layers of various materials, such as paper, wet- or dry-laid nonwovens, films or combinations of any or all of these.
Our lamination line offers the possibility of two bonding technologies
Fine web tension control allows light-weight materials to be processed, as well as layers with high stretch. The line has two bonding possibilities:
- Welding: Ultrasonic welding bonds up to 4 layers in one pass, giving a dot array appearance
- Adhesive: Spray application of hotmelt adhesives, also reactive hotmelts, for full web bonding of 2 layers in one pass
